I would like to thank our mystery benefactor for upgrading our status to a deluxe site. Busy updating files and photos as time allows. Norma

The origins of the Yeo family are found in Devon and Cornwall, England. Several different lines of the family immigrated to North America settling in Prince Edward Island, Canada. This webmaster's line, descends from James Yeo III who had two wives; Ann Osborn and Grace Francis. The majority of the family is found in Canada & the United States, while a few returned to England. The early Yeo family made their living in the shipbuilding industry in PEI and England. There are numerous members of the clan who had political aspirations. Senator John Yeo to this day holds the record for the longest sitting member of parliament. The Yeo family abounds in HUGE numbers and can be found just about anywhere in Canada and the US. This site represents only one line of the Yeo family, others can be found by following the link for 'The Island Register'.

Martyn Yeo (see link at left) is continuing Sheila Yeo’s study of the Yeo surname, which includes earlier generations of the families and individuals who emigrated to North America.
